Airhorn

A Textedly alternative for texting your staff

Textedly is a straightforward SMS marketing platform, and if you’re texting customers it’s a reasonable pick. If your list is the twelve people who work for you, most of what you’d be paying for is built for a different job.

Where Textedly genuinely wins

Textedly is built for marketing by text and includes the full toolkit on every plan: keywords for list sign-ups, scheduled and recurring campaigns, picture messages, contact management, and reporting. It also has a free account with 50 messages to try it. If any of your texting goes to customers, you need those tools, and Airhorn doesn’t have them.

Where it fits badly for employee texting

The floor is set for marketing volume. The entry paid plan is $29 a month for 500 messages. A staff list of 12 getting two texts a week uses about 100 of them. You pay for the other 400 anyway.

Each extra sender costs more. Additional teammates are $10 a month each. If three shift leads need to send, that’s $20 on top before a single message goes out.

Consent is designed for customers. Marketing opt-in flows are built around keywords and sign-up forms. For staff, what you want is simpler: add a number, the employee confirms with YES, and anyone who replies STOP is gone for good.

Which to choose

Choose Textedly if you text customers, run promotions or keywords, or want one tool for marketing and staff alike.

Choose Airhorn if the list is your staff, the messages are shifts and closures, and you’d rather the bill track your headcount than a message allowance.

Choose neither if you have six employees — a group text is free. All the options, including free ones.

Built for rosters, not campaigns

$5/mo plus $0.75 per employee, unlimited managers, opt-in and STOP handled. No message allowance to outgrow.

Free for 7 days and 60 messages — no credit card. Your trial starts when you send your first broadcast, not when you sign up.
