Safety notices everyone confirms
A safety notice that some people never saw isn’t a safety notice. Text reaches everyone on the roster, and a reply tells you who’s read it.
What to send
- Product and food recalls. “RECALL: pull all [product], lot [#], from shelves now. Reply DONE when your area is clear.”
- Equipment hazards. “Do not use slicer #2 — guard is broken. Tagged out until repaired.”
- Heat and weather warnings for outdoor and warehouse crews.
- New PPE or procedure rules, with a start date.
- Incident follow-ups — what happened, what changes.
Make people confirm
Ask for a reply on every safety notice. On Plus, replies come back to you individually in Conversations, so the list of people who haven’t confirmed is the list you go talk to in person.
Urgent when it’s urgent
A hazard that affects the next shift should be marked urgent so it goes out immediately rather than waiting out quiet hours.
A text supplements your safety program, it doesn’t replace it. Keep required postings, training records, and documentation where your safety program requires them.
Know who read it
