Company announcements everyone actually sees
An announcement posted on the breakroom board reaches whoever walks past. One sent by text reaches everyone, including the weekend crew and the people on vacation.
What works well as a text
- Policy changes with a start date. “Starting Mon 4/1: black non-slip shoes required.”
- New procedures — a new register process, a new opening checklist.
- Meetings and trainings.
- Good news — a record month, a new location, a raise.
What doesn’t
Long documents. Text the headline and point to where the full version lives: “New handbook is in the office — please read pages 4–6 by Friday.”
Ask for confirmation
For anything people will be held to, end with “Reply OK to confirm.” On Plus, replies come back to you individually in Conversations, so you know exactly who still needs a conversation.
Send to the people it’s about
On Plus, Groups let you send kitchen updates to the kitchen and floor updates to the floor. Fewer irrelevant messages means people keep reading. How to get announcements read.
